The Third Binghamton Social Justice and Labor Film Series, "Seeds Beneath the Snow, features films--documentaries and fiction-- that have something to say about the society in which we live. In this time of political potential and economic turbulence, communal viewing of film is one way to explore the most relevant topics of our time: climate change, income inequality, racism, workers rights, human rights, gender oppression, capitalism and many more. The series is not just to inform, but to be an active agent of change by building strong, critical communities capable of vibrant discussion and action. The film series seeks to connect people, ideas, issues, and struggles. Doors open 6pm. Film starts 6:30. Free admission / Free refreshments. Discussion to follow screenings. Thursdays: 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/31, 4/14 and 5/12 & Friday 4/29. See web for details about specific showtimes.
